Landon is One!

We just had so much fun capturing Landon in our studio last week! Nothing cuter than a little guy that just learned how to walk! Don'tcha just love his big blue eyes?! Big sis Alaina was a big help in getting huge grins from Landon, too! Balloons weren't his thing, but he sure loved the frosting on his cake! Great job little buddy!

Merry Christmas!

Hark the herald angels sing,
Glory to the newborn King!

So long ago, a baby was born. Not just any baby, but God in flesh, Jesus. Can you hear the animals as they graze? Can you smell the sweet aroma of their hay? Can you feel the awe of Mary as she beholds her brand new child? As a photographer I can't help wishing for a picture of that! What a newborn shoot that would have been! But if we take the time to imagine, we can each get a little glimpse of what it must have been like that night. A night that brought true joy, love and peace to earth. So we celebrate, to remember, to show our gratitude, to share the gift of His love with others.

We would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and thank you for your business this year. May you be blessed by peace, love, and joy this season!

Sweet Siblings

I had a fun morning last week capturing my friends two fun kiddos, Lazslo and Sailor. Lazslo just started his first year of school. Sailor is now three, and while she prefers not to be called a princess, she certainly enjoys pretending to be one! In her fancy skirt we had fun twirling and dancing and being all around cuteness! This was our second time capturing these two and their great personalities and we had lots of fun this time in the studio. The series of Lazslo in the hat were inspired by an image his mom told me he had taken when he turned 1. Lazslo and I surprised his mom with these by shooting them when she was browsing our product catalog :-) Thanks Lazslo for keeping our secret! You and Sailor both did super great!

Joci, Class of 2011

We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon spent doing senior portraits with Joci, a 2011 graduate of Woodward-Granger. She holds a special place in our hearts since she and her younger sister were our main babysitters when we lived in central Iowa. Joci is at the top of her class, plays trumpet in the band, and is active in her church.
